ACE-Health: AI-driven Climate Extremes attribution, multiscale Health projection, and climate-health burden mitigation
The ACE-Health group at Nanyang Technological University investigates the intersection of climate extremes and human health. Our work spans three core pillars:
- AI-driven Climate Extremes Attribution — Using machine learning and causal inference to attribute extreme heat events and understand their drivers under climate change.
- Multiscale Health Projection — Projecting future heat-related health burdens — including psychiatric disorders and cardiovascular diseases — across populations and regions under climate change scenarios.
- Climate-Health Burden Mitigation — Developing multi-phase early warning systems and low-cost intervention strategies to protect vulnerable populations and support public health decision-making.
We combine epidemiology, atmospheric science, and AI to generate actionable insights for climate adaptation and resilience.
